Puxi Campus Grade 1: Winter Holiday Is Fun!
Students in Grade 1 completed winter vacation homework presentations in this week, including the Chinese project “My Winter Vacation Life,” “My Own Calendar” in math, and “How to help the othersactivity” in English. Different kinds of projects showed students’ colorful winter holiday.
The Chinese winter vacation project is called “My Winter Vacation Life.” The student described what new skills they have learned during the vacation through photos and words. Some students learned to wash their hair by themselves. Some students learned to tie shoelaces, and some students learned to do chores. Even though these skills sound easy, for first-grade students, it took them the whole winter holiday to practice these skills. Also, they achieved sense of accomplishment after the holiday! The math project required children to make a 2022 calendar by using the knowledge they have learned in the last semester. The students put the elements of the Year of the Tiger, Bing dundun, and Xue rongrong from the Winter Olympics, as well as the popular Ultraman and Pokémon in their calendars. They are going to spend a fantastic year with these friends. The English winter holiday project is similar to the Chinese one. It aims to cultivate children’s good qualities of helping others.
The winter vacation ended, and the new semester has already started! We hope that all the students can bring full harvest and growth in the Year of the Tiger.
