Lingang Campus Grade 1: Habitat Diorama Project
If you go to the hallway of Grade 1 at the Lingang campus, you will undoubtedly be amazed by those delicately-made projects! From January 4th to 7th, each class selected some outstanding projects and displayed them outside for every student to enjoy and learn during break times!
After learning the habitat unit, teachers assigned a seemingly straightforward but challenging task—Habitat Diorama Project. Students needed to research to find out the habits and characteristics of different animals, DIYed to reflect the relationship and current situation between habitats and animals/plants, aiming to show the beauty of nature. Students exhibited their wits to produce numerous fabulous works to our delight. Rainforests, oceans, desserts seemed to be existing in front of our eyes. Students said that they benefited a lot from this activity. They learned how to collect and extract meaningful information and enjoyed learning by doing.
This project complements the field trip students had early this semester to Haichang Ocean Park. We hope all students will continue learning about nature and better awareness of harmonious ecological existence.
