Grade 7: Health and Well-being—Youth Development Class
On December 16, the seventh-grade students had a youth development class on the theme of health and well-being. The teachers designed different indoor exercises for each classroom. Students of each homeroom came to various classrooms to try different sports according to the specially customized route. Some classrooms taught students simple stretching movements to warm up effectively; some classrooms taught students how to relax their shoulders and necks so that students could feel the release of muscle pressure they usually don’t know of; some classrooms became yoga classrooms so that students meditated and combed their moods in a quiet atmosphere to relax their body and mind; there was also a classroom for training core strength. The students also conducted a competition of planking. It was admirable that some students could hold it for two minutes.
Through this youth development class, the students not only learned many simple indoor exercise methods but also relieved the pressure from studying and relaxed their body and mind. We hope all students can maintain the habit of doing sports and keep a healthy lifestyle.
