Puxi Campus Grade 1: Chess Teaching Exchange

December 13, 2021

Over the past few weeks in class 1(5), the students have had the privilege of being visited by students from grade eight whose intentions were to teach them chess.

In total, they arrived in grade one to teach three times. The first time when they arrived they came fully prepared with enough chess sets for each group and a well-designed PowerPoint that was presented with confidence and expertise. During the three courses, the children learned the most basic rules of chess. With the assistance of the first-grade teacher, they taught the first graders in different groups according to whether they have learned chess before. In the group game, the eighth graders guided them one by one to achieve a better teaching effect.

Through this series of courses, many first graders have gradually developed a strong interest in chess. Hopefully, more children who are talented with chess will be found and they will make more achievements in the field of chess in the future.
