Puxi Campus Grade 1 to 3: Fire Drill

December 3, 2021

On December 2nd, during homework class time, the primary section of SHSID conducted a fire drill.

As soon as the fire alarm bell rang, the teachers asked the students to stop what they were doing, and each class quickly formed two lines. Everyone immediately covered their mouths and noses, and evacuated the primary building as soon as possible by following the designated escaping route. Each emergency exit had a teacher responsible for evacuating the crowd and maintaining discipline. After each grade arrived at their designated safe area, the class teachers counted the number of people. After confirming that all students were present, the first fire drill ended successfully. The students were led by the teachers and returned to their classes.

Every year’s fire drill has significant meaning. This reminds us that when we encounter an emergency, we should remain calm and evacuate to a safe area. The second and third graders have experienced fire drills, and they followed the teachers’ instructions, setting a good example for the new first graders. Although for the first graders it was their first fire drill in primary school, they behaved very well. We believe that through these fire drills, the students will definitely enhance their awareness of fire safety.
