Grade 1: Chinese Tongue Twister Competition

November 26, 2021

This Friday, G1 launched a Chinese tongue twisters competition. All G1 students are eager to try to read as many tongue twisters as possible within 3 minutes.

Game start! The children on the stage were engrossed, their eyes swept through the exercise book row by row, and various sounds of Chinese characters were caming fast from their mouths. Although they were fast, the words were also clear, which was amazing. For the other students, some cheered silently in their hearts, and some seized the time to practice. When the stopwatch rang, students on both sides immediately stopped. All the audience applauded and cheered!

After the competition, students were looking for the next year’s competition. In this activity, the first-year children practiced tongue twisters with the Pinyin they had just learned. During the reading process, they listened and rectified the pronunciation, and they also trained traditional Chinese skills. The teachers hope that the children can take this opportunity to read and practice more and fall in love with tongue twisters.
