Grade 1: Mathematics in Nature

November 26, 2021

The Grade one students in Puxi campus started to learn “Doubles” this week. To help students understand the definition of doubles, teachers specially designed the “Doubles in Nature” activity.

The activity requires the students to look for “Doubles among the animals. For example, crabs have eight legs, the number being double. Some students thought the number of butterflies’ wing is doubled. And the others found “Doubles” on the two small paws of little hamsters.

Through this activity, G1 students completed interdisciplinary training and a wonderful creation with theirown brushes.
