Puxi Campus Grade 2: Math Project

November 24, 2021

In the past week, the G2 students put a lot of effort into creating a beautiful stained-glass design. They used many materials like color pens, black markers, scissors, and color paper finishing their work. Additionally, they needed to complete the flipbook pages by listing how many sides, vertices, and angles there are in that shape. This portion of the activity showed their understanding of the geometric shapes.

First, they used clay or plastic shape blocks. Then, they needed to trace the shape with a pencil and cut along the edges. Lastly, they needed to trace with a black marker and color it.

The G2 students were so creative that they came up with various ideas and designs. For example, a space shuttle, a human face, a flower, and even a mummy! They enjoyed this activity a lot and are looking forward to the upcoming Math Week!
