Grade 7: Halloween Celebration
On October 29th, Halloween was celebrated at SHSID. Students wore costumes to school and “trick or treated” for candies. Classrooms were decorated delicately with different kinds of decorations. At the front door of Zhongxing building, teachers took pictures and recorded videos of the dressed-up students. Some students wore weird costumes, and you might have seen those “T-rexes” and “Baymax” playing with each other outside the building.
The most eye-catching part was not the students wearing their costume—the teachers also wore their costumes to school! There were teachers “impersonating” the characters in Squid Game and taking selfies of themselves in front of the classrooms in the third floor. Some of the homeroom teachers also dressed us as “Teletubbies”. Most of those students and teachers dressed up in seventh grade, making the whole grade seem like a fantasy.
At lunch time, some of the students ate in the cafeteria. There was a meal which is only made on Halloween. The pork and pasta was super delicious. After lunch, students went back to the Zhongxing building. Some of them went trick or treating for candies and some of them went out of the building to take a picture of their costume and their friends’ costumes. When it is almost half past twelve, those “T-rexes” and the “Baymax” started to “fight.” Teachers took videos of them and in conclusion, they were pretty cute.
When a “T-rex” walked in the middle of the road, everyone stared at him and laughed. The teddy bear costume was also really hilarious. Maybe if you were lucky enough, he gave you a warm and cozy “bear hug.” There were pretty “angels” and there were scary “demons.”
Students enjoyed Halloween a lot. They laughed at each other’s costumes, and some of them tried to scare their teachers. The students and teachers really had fun on Halloween. The real reason that they enjoyed it was because everyone participated and tried to make Halloween in seven grade an unforgettable day. They are now looking forward to the next celebration of Halloween.
