Puxi Campus Grades 1-3: Happy Halloween! Trick-or-Treat!

November 1, 2021

The annual Halloween celebration arrived at SHSID! In anticipation, all students had discussed the characters they wanted to dress up as at the beginning of this week, and brought candy to their classroom early so they could participate in the tradition of Trick-or-Treating.

For grade one students, this was their first Halloween in SHSID. They were extremely excited! The students had already begun to make pop-up books for Halloween during their PG class. The pumpkins and bats were vivid and lovely on paper.

The grade two students wore all kinds of Halloween costumes. They brought candy to share with their classmates. The grade two teachers dressed up as different animals, including spiders, leopards, and some various Disney animal characters. In the personal growth class, the children cut out the eyes, ears, and wings on the paper carefully. They put the pieces together and finally made into a little bat!

The grade three class atmosphere was also very excited. The students were wearing their Halloween-style “fancy costumes” while exchanging candies. Some adhered to the principle of fairness and exchange one for one; some are ingenious and exchange candies in a “blind box” way. Holding the sweets, the smiling faces beamed. Halloween also left an easter egg for the grade three students, which was the Halloween costume of the third-grade teachers. The teachers wore cute food and pumpkin costumes to participate in the students’ tickle or treat.

Halloween is over, and the sweet November begins! Teachers hope that all the kids will continue to reap the rewards in November after the Halloween carnival!
