Grade 9 Assembly: Four Years Plan
As the 9th graders entered high school, they were introduced to the four years plan, which would provide guidance for them throughout their high school life. After listening to several lectures from teachers over the past few weeks, the students from 9th grade listened to a lecture by a student representative from 9(1) during the morning assembly on October 19.
The lecture was about ways to design a personalized, suitable four-year plan. The lecturer split this process into 4 steps: finding your direction, exploring your interests, becoming more well-rounded, and improving your current self. The students learned about the resources provided by the school, and how to utilize them to the fullest extent. She also provided examples of each resource and how she used them in her own four-year plan. She explained that the plan was not only about academic aspects, but also about becoming a more well-rounded individual. The lecturer also gave some tips on how to improve scores and excel on exams through strategies like time-management.
After this assembly, all the grade 9 students felt more informed and were ready to begin and edit their own four-year plans.
