Launch Ceremony of the 2030 ZhenTao Program Successfully Held

In the afternoon of September 16, teachers gathered in the Lecture Halll of ZTB for the launch of the 2030 ZhenTao Program.

At the start, Principal Ma Feng introduced the school's expectations for the participating teachers. From a macro perspective, in the "14th Five-Year Plan", enhancing the international influence of Shanghai Education is proposed.SHSID high school has the responsibility to make contribution in this area. From a micro point of view, learning styles has been greatly transformed, with new forms such as long-distance learning emerging. This will require a group of talented and prepared educators who can quickly master advanced educational concepts and technologies.The construction of first-class teachers is not only the requirement of society and schools, but also the need of teachers' personal development.Most of the teachers participating in the program are young teachers who are in the rapid growth period of their careers. It will be beneficial to their career development if they can seize the opportunity to improve themselves at this stage. Mentoring and teaching on base of learning and researching are traditions in SHSID.Principal Ma hoped that the participating teachers would make personal efforts to develop as educators and become the backbone of the school by 2030. He also hoped that the teachers could not only nurture talents in school with their enthusiasm, but also influence other teachers around them and help students learn to become responsible and empathetic adults passionate for knowledge.

Afterwards, Director of Teaching Affairs Center of High School Liu Shan introduced the ZhenTao Program and the overall arrangement. Two participating teachers then shared their experiences in the warming up sections. Finally, Principal Ma presented the appointment certificates to the 13 mentors.

The 2030 ZhenTao Program was launched successfully in a motivating atmosphere. With confidence, we believe that the professional development community consisting of these dedicated mentors and enthusiastic teachers will benefit everyone in SHSID.
