Grade 9: Service Group Recruitment
On Sep. 7th, during lunch time at Zhentao Building, passionate 9th graders crowded inside Room 313, waiting for a lecture to start. A recruitment meeting for all the community-service learning groups (CSG) was also to be held after the lecture. The lecture was given by Mr. Zhao Tao who gave a brief introduction about CSG and all the groups that it included.
There are seven groups: club checker group, duty checker group, lunchroom checker group, activity helper group, poster group, news group, and photo and video group. Each group is led by a student, who will cooperate with his/her group members that contribute to the school community as a unit. At last, Mr. Zhao emphasized the significance of participating in CSG. One will be able to not only make contributions to the campus community, but also become a better person through the process of helping others.
After the lecture, students energetically chose the groups they want to participate in according to their interests and then rapidly signed up. Every student was eagerly waiting for their CSG time to start as soon as possible!
