Grade 10: ASB Preliminary Election
The in-class elections for the Associated Student Body (ASB) happened on the morning of September 6th during the PBL class. Students from each class presented their speeches on why they should be elected. Their classmates then voted on who they believe should represent their class in the grade-wide ASB election.
While several classes did not hold an election due to a lack of candidates, others hosted speeches where students spoke about their winning personality traits, past successful projects, and their future plans for the school. After a total of 14 10th-grade ASB candidates were selected, all the candidates were required to make posters representing their campaigns. The posters were hung on a board in the Zhentao Building lobby next to the reception desk. Students made a variety of colorful, creative posters. Some imitated famous advertisements while others included photos and catchy campaign phrases.
The posters and speeches of the new ASB candidates all look interesting and promising. We look forward to the grade-wide ASB election to see them demonstrate their talents and ingenuity.
