Pudong Campus: Decorate the Campus with Summer Homework
At the beginning of this semester, the renovated hallways were already decorated by the fabulous homework of 2nd grade to 5th grade students. From these assignments, we can see their diverse personalities and fascinating summer experiences. The 4th and 5th graders’ work expressed more about ingenuity, while the 2nd and 3rd graders’ work attracted more attention with their imaginations.
The Progress Award—2nd Grade
The grade two students and their parents prepared the Birthday Journal project to express their love. In the project, some students received their favorite gifts; some went to their favorite amusement parks and had a great time with their friends. However, the students were not just taking the presents from others, they also gave out the sweet gifts to others to show their love. Expressing love and taking love are both meaningful and fantastic.
The Creative Thoughts Award—3rd Grade
The 3rd graders made a poster titled “What If I were...” This assignment focused on students’ creativity skills. They hypothesized if they were one of the characters in the fiction story, what they would do to get a better ending.
The Hard Work Award—4th Grade
As the older students of the Pudong campus, the 4th graders shined with more academic posters in the hallway. They collected several pieces of news during the summer and made practical and ingenious Chinese vocabulary brochures. They kept reviewing and updating their “vocab banks” and learned a lot through this activity.
The Broadened Horizon Award—5th Grade
As members of the highest grade, the 5th graders created their own fairy tales and designed the posters for their masterpieces. In the fantasy world, it’s full of wonderful creatures and wisdom. The teachers were impressed by their imagination and creativity.
The Pudong campus comes alive with all of the summer homework displayed in the hallways! The students not only show their academic skills but their personalities, talents, and great concentration through their works.
