Grades 9-10:SHSID and Ctrip Career Day
On May 14, 2021, more than 20 students in ninth and tenth grades went to Ctrip to participate in the "SHSID and Ctrip Career Day" event. The occasion was rich in content, including a visit to the NOC laboratory, a Ctrip business-and-job introduction, mentor introduction, job matching, job observation, experience communication, and even more.

At the beginning of the event, Ms. Lee from Ctrip introduced the students to Ctrip's development history and a general overview. Ctrip is the world's largest OTA (Online Ticketing Agency), providing hotel reservations, flight management, business travel, touring, and many other services. Then they visited the office area, where they saw employees focused on their work; they observed that there were recreational facilities such as fitness equipment and billiards next to the office area, allowing employees to relax in addition to working hard. The teachers from Ctrip also took the students to visit Ctrip's core room, where more than a dozen screens displayed real-time data from different cities around the globe, allowing them to feel the significance of information and the importance of the system.
In the mentor introduction and job matching/job observation part, Ctrip arranged mentors from eight different occupations, for example, product managers, HR directors, and IT engineers. The tutors presented the students with the jobs that they were responsible for. Then they were assigned to different groups and followed the mentors to their positions. This not only allowed them to learn about multiple different jobs, but also let them have a new understanding of them.

Visiting large corporations such as Ctrip was a fresh experience, giving the students access to a lot of content unavailable in textbooks. In this activity, they also met graduates from SHSID, bringing inspiration to planning for their future jobs.
