Middle School Chinese Department: Andante Like a Song
The Middle School Building was built in 2001 and has witnessed the growth and changes of teachers and students of SHSID. After 20 years, the Middle School Building, which teachers and students are familiar with, will become a historical mark after the migration of teachers and students to the new building. Once upon a time, every step, every ceiling, and every classroom of this building were deeply engraved in everyone’s mind and naturally became a symbol of the “necessities” of campus life. Now, though the Middle School Building will fade away from our campus life, it will remain a “necessity” of our fond memories.
On the occasion of saying farewell to the Middle School Building, the sixth and seventh-grade Chinese groups will jointly launch “Andante like a song—literary and artistic creation activities in memory of the Middle School Building,” encouraging students to remember it in their own way and to be grateful for this time in their youth. Moving poems, beautiful compositions, colorful paintings, and fascinating videos are all forms of creation that students can use to commemorate the building. I believe that through this special activity, teachers and students can formally say goodbye to the Middle School Building full of emotion and memories!
