Grade 6: World Fair Play
On March 25th, the World fair was held during the sixth-grade YD class. The students were initially divided into groups, designated a dynasty from Chinese history, and created a moving and exciting story set during that era as theatrical performances.
During the last three weeks, each student devoted 100% of enthusiasm and preparation for the event. Students researched information, designed the main storyline, wrote the script, and rehearsed repeatedly. Each group seemed to be on the scene trying to figure out the characters’ expressions in that period.
In the end, the most exhilarating performance finally came. There were about 6-7 groups in each homeroom, and each group had 3-4 minutes to perform. The students put on costumes and held props. One after another, they stepped onto the stage with tension and excitement. From Shang, Qin to Han dynasty, the students created captivating storylines with a unique and innovative perspective and showed us vividly colorful stories, allowing us to truly walk in Characters, walk into those fascinating and magnificent epics. The work over the last three weeks was evident through their efforts and performances on stage. Well done to all students!
