Grades 9-10: Course Day - A Suitable Choice Is Half of Success
On the afternoon of February 24th, all the students of Grades 9 and 10 participated in the Course Day activity in Zhentao Building. First, in the Lecture Hall, the seven teachers who taught the seven courses respectively delivered presentations that covered an overview of the courses, course focuses, prerequisites for choosing, and the following path offered in junior and senior years for the course.
After the general introduction, the freshmen, along with sophomores, went to different classrooms in the building where more teachers of the different subjects were available to answer the specific questions that they may have had. In the process of teachers answering the questions, the students gained a more detailed and in-depth understanding of the future course selection, such as the difficulty of this course, homework requirements, test requirements, etc. The event lasted the entire afternoon and proved to be rather successful. The teachers' detailed answers were helpful for the students to choose the most appropriate courses in the future.
Through Course Day, the students are now more informed on the different courses offered and much better prepared to make their final decisions.
