Pudong Campus Grade 1: Shoe Tying Olympics

During Activity Class on Monday, first-grade students from SHSID Pudong Campus had a special “Olympic Game” —a shoe tying competition!

The children had been assigned special homework last week to learn to tie their shoelaces, not an easy task for them! They needed to learn and practice every move to make sure their shoelaces are tight and nicely tied! As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. After practicing at home for the entire week, many children were able to tie up their shoelaces quickly. During the class, everyone came to the stage to compete in groups. Whoever completed the task earned a special praising note! With the encouragement and help from their peers, everyone won a reward by the end of the class!

Through this activity, the students not only learned new life skills but also developed their independent learning abilities! What a learning experience!
