Pudong Campus Grade 1: The Marvelous "Moon"

During Science Class this week, grade one students from Pudong Campus learned about Earth’s moon Luna and the moon phases. After learning about the movement of the moon and the relationship between the moon and the Earth, the children got the opportunity to create their own moon! Did you think it was done by using color paper or clay? Wrong! The teachers prepared a special kind of material for the children—shaving cream! The students were all incredibly excited to smear the shaving cream on their desks! The snow-white foam gradually turned into the lunar orbit and even the moon! The children especially enjoyed creating crafts on their moons! The classroom was full of children’s laughter and the fragrance of shaving cream. Afterward, we used the cream to clean our desk surfaces. Everyone was dazzled and cheerfully said that this science class was really inspiring!
