Middle School Math Department: Fast Calculation Competition

To achieve a goal of fun math teaching and mobilize students' enthusiasm for learning mathematics, the sixth-grade math group organized a level-by-level mathematics fast calculation competition, which was generally based on the overall learning chapters. Furthermore, to prove the fairness of the competition, the fast calculation competition used the same set of test questions but graded at different levels. The teachers selected 60 typical questions, covering the basic calculations of fractions, decimals, mixed numbers and comprehensive mental math uses. Students needed to complete the 60 questions within 40 minutes. Those who completed early would get different levels of extra points according to different early submission times. Finally, the winners were selected through a comprehensive assessment of correctness and completion time.

Among all G6 students, 8 H-level winners, 7 S+ level winners, and 10 S-level winners proved determined in this fast calculation competition.

Students were proud of their outstanding achievements and expressed commitment to further developing their fast calculation skills. Congratulations to all the winning students! We look forward to more hard-earned achievements in the upcoming challenges!
