Puxi campus Grade 1: Amazing Sports Week!
During the golden autumn of October, the first graders were extremely excited; it was their first sports week in the SHSID primary section. In addition to the sports meet on Tuesday, the children had wonderful sports activities every day this week!
On Monday morning, the children put on their favorite sports clothes and came to school. Their posture and demeanor made them look like professional athletes!
Wednesday was also a day full of fun activities. In Chinese morning read-aloud, the children introduced their favorite sports. In PE class, we were very lucky to have two parents give speechesand talk about their sport strengths and related knowledge of these sports. The participation of parents duringSportsWeek allowed our children to broaden their horizons and learn a lot of extracurricular knowledge. After the speeches, the students had a relay competition. The whole grade was divided into two relayswiththe first onebeingthe sponge relay. Students were required to takeasponge filled with water toa bucket, wring the water outof it,andthenpass it to the next classmate. At the end of the game, the buckets were compared to see whose class had the most water. The second relay was the egg relay. Students needed tocarryaneggona spoon and pass it tootherclassmatesas quickly as possible; theclass that finishedfirstwere declared the winners. The children had a lot of fun and showed their sportsmanship throughout alltheactivities.
On Thursday, it was Sports Cap Day; the children walked into the classroom with sports caps on during the morning. They were extremely excited when they were having lessons while wearing hats!
Sports week has been full of activities every day, and it has been so much fun! The children enjoyed it so much!
