Primary School Subjects Department: G1 Begin their Scientific Journeys

Our young scientists in grade one started their scientific journeys when their lives at SHSID first began.

In September, their first month at SHSID, they had some very exciting lessons in science.

They started by learning about their five senses and why they are so important. They used their senses by doing a nature walk around the school campus. The students then discovered what it takes to become a real-life scientist, including what tools are needed and how to use the scientific method.

Our students also became engineers and helped create solutions to real-life problems. They each designed their own boats that could carry people safely as well as airplanes that could fly very fast.

We believe that our young scientists have started their scientific journeys and that we have some future professional scientists in our midst!
