Grade 12: Assembly - Junior Project & Senior Orientation Awards

September 24, 2020

The weekly Assembly of Grade 12 was held in Xianmian Annex Auditorium on the morning of September 18th.

The Assembly began with the awarding of the outstanding Junior Project teams as they had presented thoughtful ideas and well-established programs to achieve their goals whether it was raising awareness of HIV, bringing concerns to LGBT communities, or building an on-campus umbrella-sharing system. Students showed excellent performance as they managed to combat difficulties caused by the pandemic and insisted on making significant progress. Each student was able to share his/her knowledge with others and combine various knowledge from many fields to result in a practical and meaningful product.

Further on, the Assembly proceeded with the Senior Orientation awards, acknowledging and praising the active participation in the series of exciting activities. The video clip gradually guided the students to recollect the events. In the self-discovery session, the students learned how to seek the most efficient solution to a problem in times of difficulty. In the “social manners” presentation, they were told how to best prepare oneself and how to decently design one's image during formal situations. In the "Desert Island" activity, they were able to understand how to see rationally what qualities and skills they have would be the most helpful for personal growth and realization. These different activities thus help students acquire a better understanding of themselves along the process of constructing college applications.
