Grade 10: Students PBL Sharing Session

On Tuesday, September 1st, a Students Sharing Session was held in the auditorium of Xianmian Building. It was a session for the 10th grade students to learn from their peers, who received not only brilliant results on their on-campus works, but also excellent awards on lots of extracurricular activities.

The school life in SHSID does not solely focus on finishing the homework assigned by each subject teacher; it is dedicated to encouraging students to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities as well as their on-campus tasks. SHSID strongly encourages students to interact with different people, and at the same time, to collaborate with and compete against each other. The ability to communicate with other human beings is equally important as this is a means to share and gain knowledge from all fields of study. For this new semester, the school provides a wider platform for students to develop their interests and abilities: for example, as some students mentioned, debating influenced them significantly through allowing them to enjoy the process of working as a team against others; some mentioned the importance of teamwork and the way it motivates each member; others mentioned the massive impact of programming on their creativity and imagination.

September 1st is a symbolic day, a new semester as well as a new school year has already begun. Everything is new, and everyone has new opportunities. May all students enjoy this fresh new start and make use of this wide platform to their own personal development and growth.
