Constant Pursuit of Excellence — 2020 SHSID High School Teachers’ PD Week

In early July, SHSID High School launched its 9-day Teacher Professional Development event.

During the event, each subject department dispatched its rising freshman teacher representatives to demonstrate their outstanding professional skills in Zhentao Forum. There were also Grade 12 homeroom teachers sharing the resilience and persistence reflected by students, parents and teachers behind successful university applications. Teachers are encouraged to make good use of technology through the school’s provision of concepts and data. Several IT skill workshops were held to diversify teachers’ tool kit. Different departments also cooperated during the event to explore the possibility of interdisciplinary teaching, showing the depth and breadth of knowledge that SHSID interdisciplinary cooperation could achieve. In addition to the development of core abilities for teaching, teachers’ social skills, humanity awareness, and team spirit were all further enhanced through various interest-based lectures and team-building activities, where teachers were amazed by their peers’ pursuit of lifelong development and versatility.

Education has always been a long-term mission, through various professional development and training activities, SHSID is helping its teachers to grow sustainably.
