Business Management Course: Business Plan “Roadshow”
After one year of study, students from the Business Management course in the 18th week of the semester finally completed the final presentation: a "roadshow" of their business. During the school year, the students started at zero. They started up their own “business” while learning business management knowledge. They were expected to write a business plan and fought for funds from “angel investors”. From deciding the business idea to recruiting employees, from setting marketing strategies to forecasting financial models, they gradually built up their businesses brick by brick. Eventually, they conducted the "roadshow" with 30-page business plans and amazing slides. They were very creative. Some of them started up a DIY toy store, and others showed concern about the environment and sold clothes made from recyclable materials or ocean trash. They were so passionate about their business that one group even established their own website. Though they cannot conduct the "roadshow" offline, the students still made the online one very successful. They were all very proud of their own businesses. Through such a practical teaching method, students developed a better understanding of business knowledge, which may seem a bit far away from their own lives. The students also improved in their ability to apply the knowledge they learned in class to real-world projects.
