Pudong Campus: Adjusting to the “New Normal” with Friends!

On May 19th, the fourth and fifth graders of SHSID Pudong Campus finally returned to school! After waiting for such a long time, the kids finally got the chance to meet their teachers and classmates in person. With the teachers’ help, students lined up to have their body temperature taken at the school gate every day. Afterwards, they will receive a big smile and sweet greetings from Ms. Liu and other teachers who were waiting in the lobby. We can clearly see excitement on the kids’ faces and expectation in their eyes, which shows their desire for school life! Recently, everything goes to a “new normal”. Our flexible students fit in the new learning period so quickly.

In order to create a comfortable learning atmosphere and a secure social environment, 4th grade and 5th grade teachers elaborately decorated their classrooms and arranged seats with a safe distance between students. Currently, students are experiencing a “blended” learning period.

In the last two weeks, the school made careful preparations. Teachers informed parents and students about the daily schedule, epidemic prevention, and emergency procedures. For student’s better understanding of the campus security requirements, SHSID Pudong teachers made a guidance video to demonstrate correct procedures. After laughing at the teachers’ hilarious acting, the kids learned how to protect themselves and their classmates while having fun.

During this special period, we’re glad to see that the students are ready to learn with good mode! We hope that they will be healthy and happy at school. Let’s finish the second semester of 2019-2020 school year strong.
