High School History and Geography Department: Department Meeting

On April 23rd, all the High School History and Geography teachers met in Room 211 of the Zhengtao Building to attend the first “face to face” department meeting since the beginning of this semester. Although everyone wore a mask and sat separately, the physical distance could not stop the excitement reflected from the eyes of the teachers who had not seen each other for a long time. The vice principle, Ms. Liu Min, also attended the meeting.

First, Mr. Christopher Hodachok reminded the teachers of the dates to finish grading and comments and submit the assessment papers. Then, Mr. Josh Pickart introduced the schedules of students of different grades returning to school, the timetable of the online and in-classroom teaching and learning, the procedures and requirements of returning to school, and how to deal with potential emergencies. Next, he listed some specific concerns about the preparations for the new arrangement, such as how to differentiate the in-classroom lessons from the online lessons. The teachers present shared their ideas and thoughts actively. The suggestions collected were very helpful for history and geography teaching and learning.
