Primary and Middle School Math Department: 2018 School Year Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olym
In the 2018 Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad (AIMO), more than 200 students from over 20 international and local schools in China participated. The Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad (AIMO), sponsored by the Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT), is a very challenging event for students. During the event, students need to solve 10 questions in four hours without using calculators as a test of their mathematical ability. One must qualify for this competition through the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC). Students with excellent grades in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) are selected to participate in the Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad (AIMO).
After their excellent results in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC), our Grade 3-8 students have also made remarkable achievements in the Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad (AIMO). Four students won the first prize (High Distinction), six students won the second prize (Distinction), and seven students won the third prize (Credit).
In the competition, Students compete with each other, learn together, and work hard to prove themselves. We hope that the students can achieve even better results in the mathematics competitions to follow.
