Puxi Grade One: Our Donations will Help

On Tuesday, November 19th, two students and one parent from each first grade class, along with Ms. Bao, Ms. Zhang from class 1(2), and Ms. DiEgidio from 1(3) visited the Chang Qiao No. 2 Nursing Home in the local community near SHSID. The reason for their visit was to spend time with the senior citizens that live there and to donate gifts that were purchased with the funds collected from the recent charity fair. Each resident of the home received a goody bag of personal hygiene items. Additionally, SHSID was able to purchase six specially shaped, water-resistant chairs with wheels that the caretakers can use to help the senior citizens shower and do other activities. The children were able to tell the residents about their experience at the charity fair and present gifts to them. It was a wonderful experience!
