Pu Xi Grade 4: Charity Fair News Series 1
Pu Xi Grade 4: Charity Fair News Series 1
This Thursday, we will hold the primary section’s biggest, most popular activity this semester: the Charity Fair. This time, in order to teach students that love and generosity are what give meaning and purpose to the charity fair, we prepared some lessons for our Grade 4 students. The following was reported by our ASB news group member after listening to a presentation about charity in P&B class.
What is the charity fair?
After taking the lesson about charity and sharing our ideas in P&B class, we have learnt that this charity fair is an event in which people sell things at school to raise money. This money is then donated to poor people instead of being spent by the school itself. We also donate goods and money to people who are in need so that they can improve their living and study conditions and, hopefully, live more happily.
The charity fair provides love and hope to people in need. We give them some of our possessions and money, thereby increasing the opportunities they have in to learn and make a better future for themselves. Hopefully this also causes them to feel that they are loved and to know that there are people out there who want to help them and, thus, helps them gain the courage to face life and have hope toward life.
