Grade 9 —— “Career day” as one of a series of “focused interest” activities

As grade 9 is the start of high school, it is significant to guide the students to consider their future plans and to develop ability of autonomic learning. In order to help students with their development of focused interest, a series of activities named “Career day” has been proceeding recently in grade 9 on the basis of “subject and your future” during last semester. With the support of parents, “Career day” opens a door for students to take an in-depth look at the society outside. It provides an opportunity for students to explore what quality, ability, and character are required out there in the work world, and to combine existing courses with future choices by experiencing both academic and social practice.

The arrangement of Career day was as follows:

Part Description

1. lecture: Students attended the lecture presented by parents based on their option beforehand.

2. career fair: Students took an in-depth look into the careers that they were interested in by visiting and communicating with different parents.

3. seminar: Parents delivered themselves of feedback at the seminar.
