Pu Xi Grade 4: Chinese Culture Week Started

The Chinese Culture Week kicked off in Primary School this week. Here is the schedule for Grade 4 students:

Watch Beijing Opera

Taste traditional Chinese food; WatchA Bite of China

Learn how to make Chinese traditional paper cutting decoration

Wear Chinese traditional costume; (e.g. Tang suit, Tiger-like cap and etc.)

As planned we watched the Beijing Opera in school auditorium today, the performance was all given by the professional actors and actresses from Shanghai Beijing Opera Theatre. While the kids were watching the opera, the whole auditorium was filled with laughter and applause. Between each two programs, the host introduced some funny knowledge about Beijing Opera to the kids. Through this activity, our 4thgraders not only got lots of knowledge but also feel the charm of the Beijing Opera.
