th Grade ASB's Charity visit to the Shanghai

Last Friday, December 14th, ASB members and charity fair winners of 7th and 8th grade had a unique time visiting the “baby home.” This place is a non-profit organization created by a few Shanghai parents in 2008. It provides healthcare to orphan babies or babies who have other serious health problems. After we arrived there, the warm-hearted workers brought down a few cute one-year-old babies to play with us. At first, they actually started crying badly because they probably weren’t used to stranger kids playing with them. Later on though, we saw the babies laughing happily as some of our students showed great maternal or paternal love. In fact, a baby even called one of our boys “papa.” The babies were all lovely and cherubic, and we had a great time shaking toys in front of them, picking them up and carrying them around, and just making them smile in general.
