Grade 8 Fire Drill

Fire, a chemical reaction formed by the combination of temperature, oxygen, combustible, is one of the most important discoveries in the history of mankind. But it is also a ruthless killer. In China, thousands of people are killed by fire each year; consequently, learning how to save ourselves during fire is very important. In order to learn how to escape from the harms of fire, the school held another fire drill.

We gathered excitedly in our homerooms before the CAS class, waiting for a piece of yellow paper with our names on it. (This piece of paper represents our lives, and it can be confiscated by teachers for bad behavior during the fire drill.) Suddenly the fire alarm sounded, and we walked out of the classroom. Due to many years of experience, the students all remained calm and headed for the designated place. There was also some red smoke outside the building, making the fire drill look more realistic.

Everybody gathered together on the playground, and celebrated happily that we were still alive.

Then we went back to the classroom where there was still a trace of smoke. And we began to wait impatiently for the next fire drill in a few minutes...
