Christmas is coming!

With the cold weather comes the holiday season!As all of the second graders arrive to school with holiday cheer they are greeted with festive decorations.In morning read-aloud time we are busy learning Christmas songs like, “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” and “Jingle Bells”.Throughout the day you can hear jolly second graders singing holiday tunes!In personal growth class we talked about all of the great things we can do throughout the winter, as well as all of the different winter holidays celebrated around the world.Each class helped make decorations to brighten the classrooms.Unique snowflakes and ornaments are proudly displayed.To keep a festive spirit, students are writing letters to friends about imaginary Christmas parties in English class.Each student has come up with amazing ideas for a great Christmas party!All of these activities have helped set a fun and cheerful mood at SHSID.
