Delegation from King School Visited SHSID to Discuss Future Collaboration

On June 20, 2024, Mr. Micah Hauben, Athletic Director of King School in Stamford, Connecticut, USA, along with Ms. Si Ying Ma, visited Shanghai High School International Division (SHSID). They were warmly welcomed by SHSID High School Principal Ma Feng and Coach James Lawman.



　

During the meeting, both sides reflected on the King School delegation's previous visit in 2019, during which the high school boys' basketball teams played a friendly game, fostering mutual understanding and friendship. This meeting also focused on the preparation for King School's planned return in March 2025. The upcoming visit will include more basketball players and students with a keen interest in Chinese culture, aiming to enhance sportsmanship and cultural exchange.


Principal Ma Feng emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and expressed hope for further interactions and cooperation to deepen students' understanding and respect for each other's culture, thus advancing the educational missions of both schools.



After the meeting, the King School representatives toured the campus. They revisited the gymnasium where the previous friendly basketball match took place, experiencing the vibrant basketball culture at SHSID. The delegation also explored the new teaching area set to open next semester and praised SHSID's continually improving educational facilities and beautiful campus environment.
