Zhongxing Building educates students and opens a new chapter for SHSID High School

As summer comes to an end and the first leaves of autumn start to fall, and the chirping of cicadas diminish. With the new school year approaching, hope and excitement buzz in the air as high school students prepare to begin their semester in the newly renovated Zhongxing Building.



The initial construction of Zhongxing Building began in 1984. In 1998, it was repurposed to accommodate the International Division. The building underwent further enhancement in 2015 with the addition of an auxiliary building, which supported its expanding roles. In 2019, a major reconstruction project was undertaken to modernize and improve the facilities. This extensive renovation was completed in 2021 with the unveiling of the newly rebuilt Zhongxing Building, which was subsequently put into use, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing evolution.



The building spans approximately 14,500 square meters and features 2 underground levels and 4 above-ground floors. It houses standard classrooms, specialized classrooms for subjects, such as music, physical education, art, science, and computer studies, along with teacher offices, conference rooms, a recording studio, and teaching support facilities. Additionally, it offers public activity spaces, such as the Ice-Skating Rink, Laser Shooting Range, Theater, and Library.



In addition, the new design of Zhongxing Building aims to create a versatile and functional learning environment. By emphasizing creativity and imagination, it hopes to inspire high school students to explore various academic fields and extracurricular events. We hope the students can fully realize their potential through the building’s diverse facilities.
