Grade 10: Journey of a Cello Player and Club Introductions
At the assembly on September 18, 2024, the sophomores in SHSID got a chance to hear about promotions from various clubs and hear an interesting, personal sharing from one of their peers.
AI Research Club informed the audience, telling them about their dedication to building a diverse and innovative platform that brings together students passionate about artificial intelligence. The club not only showcased outstanding performances in national competitions, but they also published many professional research papers and contributed to the school community.
After AIRC, the Super Science Bowl Club introduced themselves by covering topics from weekly meetings to tours of college laboratories, plans about creating school technology magazines, and even helping peers. Next, the FoodHI Club told their story about how the club makes contributions to society through food donations and innovative programs, like Safeplates APP and the AI Food Buddy.
Lastly, Liris shared her personal experiences as a cellist. As she recalled, her passion has never decreased since the first time she played cello in 2014. She had been to solo performances, concerts, competitions, and charities, always spreading positivity through her music. She concluded the assembly by acknowledging her passion as the key factor to her persistence and got many of her peers inspired.
