Academic Competition | Canada Lynx Mathematical Competition (CLMC) Awards Winners

On Oct, 2024, our students participated in the Canada Lynx Mathematical Competition (CLMC) either online or in their respective CLMC exam center.



The Canada Lynx Mathematical Competition (CLMC) was launched by Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) for students in grades 9-12. This competition was created to foster an interest in mathematics among students regardless of their skill level, to increase student confidence in their math abilities, and to present mathematics as a fun and playful subject to students. It serves as great practice for students with advanced mathematical skills who wish to participate in the prestigious Canadian Open Mathematics Challenge (COMC) that takes place in October each year.

A special shout out to the students from SHSID for their outstanding performance during the exam: they have won 2 Honourable Mention - International – Championships, 1 Honourable Mention - International - Grade 8, 1 Bronze Award - International - Grade 7 or under, and 1 Bronze Award - International - Grade 8
