High School Chinese Department: Students Participated in the Creative Painting Competition on the 24 Solar Terms

Multiple students from SHSID participated in the "My Favorite 24 Solar Terms", 2024 Shanghai Expatriate Children's Creative Illustration Contest in November.

With boundless creativity and enthusiasm, they devoted themselves to their artistic creations. Some used traditional watercolors and sketching to depict the natural scenery of each solar term, such as the tender green sprouts amidst continuous spring rain and the golden wheat fields under the blazing summer sun. Others took a unique approach by creating distinctive characters based on the characteristics of each of the 24 solar terms. Every artwork embodied the students' profound understanding of the 24 solar terms and their unique aesthetic perspectives, showcasing their love for traditional Chinese culture and their innovative inheritance of it.

This event served as a bridge, enhancing the students' understanding of the 24 solar terms, which encapsulate the wisdom of Chinese agricultural production and life philosophy. At the same time, it also demonstrated the richness and vastness of Chinese culture.
