Grade 9 Assembly: An Exploration of STEM Activities

On December 3, Grade 9 students of SHSID attended the assembly at Zhongxing Theater, focusing on the extensive array of upcoming STEM activities.



The assembly began with a representative introducing the upcoming celebration of Mole Day, which will feature a multitude of activities and lectures on intriguing chemistry-related topics, all organized by the STEMDoge club.



After this, Eric from Grade 12 began his impactful speech regarding robotics competitions. As a senior, he shared his insightful experiences in the FTC robotics competition, starting with a short introduction to what robotics is. He shared stories about how he obtained awards in numerous competitions and captured everyone’s attention with videos of robots they had built in the past. His team, Wings Up, has successfully introduced international-level robotics competitions to the school, boasting awards such as 2x Championship Alliance, Connect Award, Design Award, and Dean’s List Finalist. His passionate stories of enjoyable competitions piqued everyone’s interest. He encouraged everyone to consider participating in robotics competitions as a valuable opportunity for growth.
