Puxi Campus Middle and Primary School Science and Technology Department:SHSID Students Win First Prize in Shanghai DI (Destination Imagination) Innovation Thinking Competition

On the afternoon of December 1, the 2024-2025 Destination Imagination (DI) Shanghai Youth Innovation Thinking Competition and International Invitational Award Ceremony was grandly held at the Huangpu District Luwan Education and Cultural Center. In this competition, designed to inspire youth innovation and teamwork, the "Artistic Panda Team," composed of five students from SHSID Middle and Primary School, delivered an outstanding performance and won the Shanghai First Prize, showcasing the exceptional talent of SHSID students.



The "Far-Flung Adventure" Challenge D in this year’s DI competition attracted numerous teams. Centered on improvisational performance, the challenge demanded exceptional creativity, teamwork, and adaptability from participants. The "Artistic Panda Team" members—Doreen, Alina, Sammi, Lynn, and Jocelyn—crafted a fantastical travel story, starting from school and journeying to the mysterious Atlantis. Through vivid character portrayals and imaginative stage design, they transported the audience into an adventure filled with surprises and mysteries.

In the instant challenge segment, the team was tasked with responding to unexpected scenarios and specific themes on the spot. The five students quickly adapted, leveraging their sharp thinking and seamless collaboration to create and perform relevant impromptu scenes. Their performance earned unanimous praise from judges and spectators alike.

Winning the First Prize in the Shanghai DI Innovation Thinking Competition is not only a testament to the individual efforts and teamwork of the five students but also a recognition of SHSID's achievements in cultivating innovation and comprehensive skills. The school remains committed to its philosophy of scientific education, providing students with more opportunities to engage in similar activities, fostering their innovative thinking and practical abilities, and equipping them for greater success in the future.
