Puxi Campus G8: Dodge Ball Tournament

In November 2024, the dodgeball tournament ignited among the 8th grade students at Shanghai High School International Division. This event, meticulously planned and organized by the eighth-grade ASB members, drew significant attention and participation from a large number of students.


First round

A total of twelve teams from various homerooms participated in this dodgeball tournament. Ten elite players from each homeroom competed on this challenging stage, engaging in intense matches with two balls. Over the course of a month, through countless rounds of throwing, dodging, and passing, four classes ultimately emerged as the top contenders: 8（2）, 8（4）, 8（6）, and 8（7）.







Second Round

Amidst the enthusiastic cheers of their classmates, 8（4）secured their spot in the finals with outstanding teamwork, defeating8（2）. Meanwhile, 8（7）staged a remarkable comeback from two points behind, narrowly winning against 8（6） with a score of 3-2, earning their valuable place in the final match.





Final

On November 29th, under a cloudless sky that seemed to promise an exhilarating match, the stage was set for a memorable day. The clear blue heavens provided a perfect backdrop for the hopeful faces of the students, while a crisp autumn breeze gently brushed against the cheeks of the "warriors" who stood ready, their eyes burning with the desire for victory. The elites from 8（4） and 8（7） faced off on the battlefield of the finals, prepared to battle not just for the trophy, but for honor and pride.


With the blast of a whistle, the final match officially began! Both teams wiped away their sweat, gripped the balls tightly in their hands, and locked eyes with their opponents, their gazes intense and focused. From the stands, cheers and shouts of encouragement rose in waves, pushing the atmosphere to its peak. After 30 minutes of fierce competition, 8（4） emerged victorious with a score of 3-1, claiming the championship title of this year's dodgeball tournament.









Teacher-Student Friendship Match

Following the tense and exciting final, a special friendly match between the winning Class 4 and the teachers took the dodgeball event to new heights. This match was not only a test of ball skills but also a testament to the camaraderie between teachers and students. On the field, laughter and cheers intertwined, bringing the dodgeball tournament to a perfect close.







The dodgeball tournament concluded perfectly amidst the laughter and cheers of students and teachers alike. Whether victors or participants, every student gained invaluable treasures from this event—a memorable experience, cherished memories, and a more resilient sportsmanship spirit.
