Puxi Campus Grade 6: Assembly: "Self-care” Stars and Sharing

December 18, 2024

On Tuesday morning during the assembly class, all students from Grade Six gathered in the West District Auditorium for a grade-level assembly. This assembly was hosted by Ms. Wu Wenyi, the Grade Head Teacher, with the theme of awarding this month's "Self-care Star" awards. The purpose was to recognize students who have stood out in mutual assistance and caring for others over the past month. These awardees exemplified the spirit of care through their actions, bringing warmth to the school community.

Following this, Ms. Zhou Yuqi announced the results of the first round of the "Fast Calculation Competition." The finalists not only demonstrated excellent computational skills but also showed their passion for mathematics. We look forward to their performance in the finals.

Ivan from Class 6-4, shared his experiences and insights from learning chess. Having been involved in chess since childhood, Ivan found immense joy in the game and unexpectedly improved his mathematical thinking abilities. His story inspired everyone, illustrating the subtle connection between hobbies and academic achievement.

Additionally, eight members of the school's cheerleading team made an appearance at the assembly. They had just won a gold medal at the "11th China Cheerleading Open" held in Nanjing. The team members openly shared the stories of their practice journey—from initial challenges to eventual success—and their original motivations for choosing cheerleading. Their experiences conveyed a simple yet powerful message: as long as one has passion and perseverance, everyone can shine in their chosen field.

The assembly showcased the efforts and achievements of the students and encouraged everyone to maintain this enthusiasm and dedication in their future studies and lives.
