High School Biology Department: 2025 Excellent Achievements of British Biology Olympiad, BioOlympiad Initiative USA-China and USA Biology Olympiad Open Exam

Recently, the results of the British Biology Olympiad (BBO) and the BioOlympiad Initiative USA-China(BIO-USACN) were announced for the high school section students of Shanghai High School International Division. The students achieved excellent results. 


In total, 55 students received global awards in BBO: 15 students received Gold awards, 19 students received Silver awards, 9 students received Bronze awards, 7 students received Highly Commended awards, and 5 students received Commended awards. 24 students received national awards in BIO-USACN. 2 students received top gold awards, 5 received gold awards, 5 received silver awards, 3 received bronze awards, and 9 received regional honorable awards. Additionally, through the efforts of teachers, high school students from SHSID participated in the USA Biology Olympiad Open Exam (USABO) this year and achieved excellent results. A total of 19 students won certificates, with 1 ranking in the top 10% and advancing to the semi-finals, 7 ranking in the top 20% receiving honorable mention certificates, and 11 ranking in the top 30% receiving certificates of Merit scores.


We want to extend our warmest congratulations to all the students who stood out in the competitions! We also sincerely thank the Biology Olympiad Club teachers and all the biology teachers for their hard work. Their high-quality teaching and solid guidance provide academic support that is so valuable to the students.We look forward to continuing to make breakthroughs and create even more brilliant results in the future.
