Pre-Defense Training for ISEF Global Held

On May 6, the Hall of Zhongxing Building was immersed in a vibrant academic atmosphere as our school held a tailored pre-defense training session for the two students advancing to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) Global Finals. A mentorship team composed of faculty from the biology and chemistry teaching groups gathered to provide expert guidance for the young scholars preparing to compete on the global stage.

Both contestants delivered English presentations showcasing their cutting-edge research projects during the training. A 12-member interdisciplinary mentor panel offered targeted feedback, addressing academic rigor in experimental design, clarity in data visualization, and strategies to enhance presentation delivery. Additionally, they shared insights tailored to international competitions, covering stage presence, Q&A tactics, and cross-cultural communication skills.

The event exemplified the philosophy of "promoting learning through competition and integrating teaching with research." All mentors expressed high hopes for our students' upcoming showcase of scientific research excellence at ISEF.
