Art Without Borders, Youth Aglow — The 2025 SHS Performance Season Concludes

The 2025 SHS Student Arts Performance Season recently concluded with great success, featuring twelve dedicated concerts and stage productions, with nearly 800 students from both the local and international divisions participating.


This year’s season presented a rich and diverse program, showcasing a vibrant blend of styles and forms—classical, contemporary, original, and cross-genre works converging in an artistic feast. Through music, drama, and dance, SHS students demonstrated exceptional artistic expression, understanding, and creativity, delivering captivating performances that embodied the spirit of cultural fusion between East and West.

The 12 performances were as follows:


An original music showcase offering immersive, interactive audiovisual experiences

A piano showcase highlighting a wide spectrum of styles and bridging global traditions

A wind ensemble concert filled with energy and passion

A drama showcase presenting fresh interpretations and original works

A vocal showcase featuring emotive, multilingual performances

A dance showcase spanning time and cultures with stunning visual artistry

The L2D musical theater production Come From Away, brimming with youthful vitality

Shakespeare’s timeless The Comedy of Errors, reimagined with grace and depth

The Chinese-language play The Last Night of Jin Daban, full of dramatic tension and poignancy

A string ensemble concert rich in tone and elegance

The SiKuAo musical theater production of Hamilton, a thrilling and dynamic experience

A junior program concert featuring charming, heartfelt performances



The successful conclusion of this year’s performance season reaffirmed SHS’s ongoing commitment to excellence in arts education. One audience member remarked, “It felt like stepping into a professional theater, yet with the sincerity and authenticity unique to youth—truly unforgettable.” Looking ahead, the school will continue to leverage vibrant campus arts programs to promote high-quality arts education, fostering students’ holistic development in both the humanities and the arts.
